After defecting from Team Sony Music Studios, CRCA, the state, the country, and all things bike racing in the year 2000, Ashley spent five years deciding that to be fit is better than to be fat and has returned to the country, the state, AND bike racing with Team Wonder Wheels. Prior to 2000,

Ashley did several years of the full National Racing Calendar and all North American World Cup races with Team Cox and Procter & Gamble Team Women's Health. A podium finish at Elite Criterium Nationals (where she was cloned to triplets) and numerous top-five finishes at NRC events may sound moderately impressive, but Ashley's true legend in bike racing is her reign supreme as Enfant Terrible of the women's domestic racing circuit before the turn of the century.
