Steve Lassahn

Steve competed during the 70’s and 80’s winning Maryland State
championships in road, time trials and cyclocross. He was ranked 14th
in the country on the road and placed consistently in the top twenty for the
road and time trials at National Championships.
Steve was a consistent rider
for Team Raleigh as he won and placed in Pro/Am races along the East Coast.
After
he retired from racing, Steve focused his energy in the business
of cycling. In
1985 he founded the only municipally sponsored cycling team, Team Baltimore. During
the early 90’s Steve was instrumental in starting the National Coaching
System and was one of the original Regional coaches for the Eastern region. Along
with working with the Untied States Cycling Federation’s National Team
Steve has worked for Subaru/Montgomery, Navigators, Mercury, Seven-Up, Prime
Alliance and Webcor professional teams as a coach, mechanic and massage therapist.
Currently
Steve is owner of Lassahn Ltd, a cycling service that provides coaching, mechanics,
massage therapy and race photography for the cycling community.
